How does the background removal work?
We use the U2Net deep learning model, which runs entirely on the server CPU. It identifies the foreground subject and removes everything else, outputting a transparent PNG.

Will my photo be stored on your server?
No. Your image is processed in memory and the result is sent directly to your browser. No files are saved or logged.
Does it work on complex backgrounds like crowds or nature?
It works best on photos where the subject is clearly distinct from the background. Complex or highly detailed backgrounds may have minor edge artefacts.
